THE KINGDOM OF GOD

The Kingdom of God

18th August, 2022

Have you ever wondered: “What are the rewards Jesus is promising? Is heaven all that is in store for us, even for those who died gruesomely in His name? Isn’t it unfair that people who suffered for Jesus all their life will get the same reward (going to heaven) as those who enjoyed life to the fullest according to the standards of the world but gave their lives to Jesus just before their last breath?

What is this Kingdom? It is Heaven coming to earth. Jesus was referring to the span of time, when He (The King) will rule the millennial reign.

Scriptural References

Revelation 20:4-6 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.

Luke 19:17-19 ‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. “Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities. “The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more. “His master answered. ‘You take charge of five cities.’

Revelation 5:10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”

This is the hope of our calling! It is what the race is all about! This is the prize mark – Authority The Kingdom of God is in our midst, but this is the bigger manifestation of the Kingdom. It begins at the First Resurrection. It is for those who suffered for His sake.

How To Enter the Kingdom

2 Timothy 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us.

Matthew 19:29-30 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

Those who suffer for Him have more than just a safe place, they have authority to rule and govern cities. In Jesus’ letter to the 7 churches in Revelations 2 and 3 He kept on saying, “To him that overcomes”, “to the victor”, etc. He was talking to people who were already born again! Indeed there is something more! But this more will cost you your comfort, your will, your desires. It is an investment with everlasting returns!
