1 Peter 1:14-16

As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

Contrary to popular belief, ‘holy’ does not necessarily mean ‘clean’ or ‘void of dirt’. Rather, it means ‘uncommon’.
God has called us to live a life of holiness which involves striving to be more like Him, and less like the world. God’s call is a proof that He believes we can be holy like Him. So, do not say any longer, ‘only God can be holy’.
