Let reading the Bible
cease to be the burdened chair
dragged across the floor of duty,
and become instead
a seat by the window of delight.
Not a chore checked off
before sleep claims your eyes,
but a hobby of holy hunger—
a rhythm of love.
For your study makes you sturdy,
firmly rooted,
resisting the storms.
Let His truth be your treasure—
more precious than money in vaults,
more lasting than applause,
more certain than breath.
For when riches fade,
truth remains.
It is the one sure map
for this winding life journey.
When roads divide and voices pull,
it whispers:
“This is the way.”
Do not forever sip milk
at the table of infancy.
Grow.
Taste honey.
Depth is calling.
Then your eyes will open—
not merely informed,
but enlightened.
Not theology stored in the head,
but revelation burning in the heart.
Not letters on a page,
but life in your bones.
Read.
Grow.
See.
