Remember well the midnight cry,
The parted sea, the lifted sky;
The chains He shattered, one by one,
The dark undone by rising sun.
Forget not where His mercy found you –
From dust and ashes, to a state anew.
Walk not the path of a hardened heart,
Let grumblings and scorning doubts depart;
For those who turned from His command
Fell lifeless in the desert sand.
Hold fast His word – His voice is sure;
Obey, and life shall long endure.
Let no false god within you rise,
No golden form, no secret prize;
For fire will consume your idols’ thrones,
’cause jealous is the Lord alone.
Stay tuned, in humble devotions to Him, the Living Flame
His glory stands – forever reigns His Name.
