I’d rather not die young
But I’d do it if You said so
For I want to walk in the Sun
Hand in hand with you
All day long
I’d rather not lose my life
But I would because You did it first
And I’ll wake up with joy
Your eyes on me on that
Resurrection morn
I’d rather not shame my folks
But You were my Father first
And bringing You joy
Is the reason I live
On this dying world
I’d rather have my will done
But who am I kidding here?
So with great love and fear
I’d put my life into
Your Fathering Potter’s hands
