What could possibly be wrong with Dating? Isn’t it two people in love spending time with themselves without knowing what the future holds?
The Bible does not talk about dating, though it communicates on COURTSHIP. Why do people date? People date for love, money, security, better social status, to boost self-esteem; some date to get rid of loneliness. Interestingly, some date because they believe they are of ‘dateable age’ (peer pressure). All these reasons seem valid to the majority of today’s population. But, today is for thinking so let us judge this topic the way we ought to – by its fruits (its results).
Gal 5:19-24 The works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things, there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Dating is the number one path to sexual immorality. For a fact, there are people who commit this without dating. But for the vast majority, their escapades began when they trusted the opposite sex with this special status: my date. But then some will say “we are not doing anything, it is just about having that special someone”. Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?

Facts About Dating
To every born again Christian, acknowledge that dating is a situation where two people put themselves into a tempting situation and fuel it repeatedly; where two foolish Christians agree to tempt themselves repeatedly with a constant hope that they will not sin against God.
Impurity is a common fact. An idol is anything that takes God’s rightful place in your life. Growing in God or having an intimate relationship comes from having one love, Jesus. You cannot serve two masters, you will always love one and above the other. It is impossible to grow in God properly or experience true divine intimacy while dating.
When people breakup, what is the result? The average person I know that does all this dating stuff is hurt, dealing with pains, regret, and sometimes depression mixed with suicidal thoughts. So why do it? Why not just live your life steadily with God? Why say things like “It didn’t work out this time but next time I believe it will”. When fire burned you the first time, did you say you will try again or did you stay wary of it? So why did you try again something that ruined your mental health, purity, intimate relationship with God, peaceful nights, etc.?
Think about it and the millions who never dated.
