About dressing, imagine this: It is a hot and sunny afternoon so you put on a mini flair skirt and a crop top. But as you walk along the busy road on your street, a gentle breeze blows. You hold down your skirt skillfully but before you can straighten properly, another winds blows.
This time, it comes on stronger, and fiercer. You manage to hold down your skirt, but your blouse joins in the struggle and in the process, your phone falls into the gutter by the road as you grab at it to no avail. Without warning, your skirt spreads like an umbrella, and your behind has become a spectacle for the whole world.
The definition of nakedness for both genders differs. In times past, depending on traditions, a man could comfortably go shirtless, and that would be normal. On the other hand, females are delicate, soft creatures made by God. They were so pretty that angels came down to sleep with them.
Genesis 6:1-2 Now when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they took as wives whomever they chose.
If angels fell, what about mortal men?

A Biblical Perspective on Dressing
1 Peter 3:3-6 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair or gold jewelry or fine clothes, but from the inner disposition of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in God’s sight. For this is how the holy women of the past adorned themselves. They put their hope in God and were submissive to their husbands, just as Sarah obeyed Abraham and called him Lord. And you are her children if you do what is right and refuse to give way to fear.
1 Timothy 2:9-10 Likewise, I want the women to adorn themselves with respectable apparel, with modesty, and with self-control, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive.
These and other instructions embedded in scriptures should guide your acquisition of new clothes. So let go of your fears – fear of mockery, losing yourself and your personal standards, fear of men.
Being mocked has never killed anybody.
