GOD’S TIMING AND THE AGES
Genesis 1 provides an account of the creation of the world, where God created everything in six days and rested on the seventh day. This concept of God working in times and seasons is significant. The Seventh Day represents the rest of God, also known as the Millennial reign of God, which the Bible refers to as the time of the restoration of all things.
The Scriptures emphasize that God operates with His own timing, and there is a divine order to everything, including the Second Coming of Jesus. The Greek word for ages, “aion,” denotes an indefinite period of time. representing different phases.
God has ordained a certain glory before the ages began, and we are currently living at the end of an age, specifically the end of God’s 6th day (approximately 2000 years from the Lord Jesus). Hosea 6:1-3 suggests that after two days, God will revive us, and on the third day, He will raise us up to live before Him. This plan of raising and creating a new kind of people who do His will has been present since the fall in Genesis.

Acts 3:21 – “[Jesus], whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.”
1 Corinthians 2:7 – “Instead we speak the wisdom of God, hidden in a mystery, that God determined before the ages for our glory.”
Titus 1:2 – “in hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the ages began.”
