There is a summon, deep and divine,
To rise above earth’s dust and time –
To shun the ways profane, impure,
And seek a life steadfast and sure.
A whisper calls us to mature,
To long for fire that’s holy, pure –
To lay our will upon His flame,
And bear the weight of Heaven’s name.
To be the Bride, adorned in grace,
With hearts aglow, prepared, in place –
Forsaking pride, and lust, and greed,
To follow where the Lamb may lead.
Like virgins wise with lamps held high,
We watch, we wait, with oil supplied;
No fleeting thrill, no shadowed sin,
Shall dim the light that burns within.
The Holy Place now bids us near,
With trembling love and godly fear –
Set apart by Heaven’s breath,
We walk the path of life through death.
From chains of flesh, we now arise,
With consecrated hearts and eyes –
To live as those the Lord has freed,
By saintly thoughts and deeds.
We turn from joys that leave a stain,
From pleasures born of secret shame –
For Christ, whose name we seek to bear,
Must find us blameless, bold, and rare.
So let our lives be flames that burn,
With sacred fire at every turn –
A witness pure, both tried and true,
A people consecrated through and through.
