I stand on a cliff called reality
Behind me are all the ambitions
And everything they told me I could someday be
But I am seeking directions
And the only way to go is down.
I’m scared to death but I will go
For I heard that Love is down there
I heard that the King who made the rainbow
Is close to the brokenhearted – to Him they are dear
I guess indeed I will go down
So even if I fall
At least I am falling in love with Him
The one who saw me broken and made the call
He paid the price to cleanse me from within
Yes I am going down
And as I fall
I leave my fears behind
Falling right into the arms of the One who is my all
I leave my ambitions behind
The real reality is here – down
Years later, I am still falling
For the love of my Beloved has no known depth
To make me like Him, on my heart He is working
He is exchanging all my heaviness for mirth
Oh! Is there a faster way down?
So if you must fall
Make sure it is deeper in love with the bridegroom
And if you are still on the cliff, hearken to His call
In His Father’s house, He has prepared for you a room
Take a leap of faith, and go down.
