Lord, may my fruits be true
And may they come as at when due
May I not have only branches and leaves
When other trees, their fruit readily gives
May I utilize Your rain and manure
To produce fruits that will endure
May no evil fruit come from me
For then, I would be an evil tree
Lord, I neither want to be fruitless
Nor to bear fruits that are spoilt and useless
Keep me planted by the Living Stream
And Your light on me constantly beam
Do not stop Lord till all of my delight
And fulfilment are found only in Your light
May my leaves fall to the ground as manure
For this too will help me endure
May I not only be good for shade
Or last for as little as a decade
But may my fruit be good food for the starving
And always have in me Your life everlasting
