Will you with joy recount the day you joined Christ’s bride,
When in your youth you bowed, and cast away your pride?
When the fear of men could never still your tongue from
singing, But truth flowed bold, eternal praises ever springing?
Will you recall when death and denial of your Master
pressed you near, Yet to His hand you clung, unmoved by pain or fear?
When foes of grace rejoiced to see your anguish stay,
Yet faith prevailed, and hope outshone the night as day?
Will you behold your children walking steadfast in the way,
Their steps – a living echo of the truths you taught to stay?
When in their hearts your flame burns on, a light that does
not cease, A legacy of faith and love, a heritage of peace?
Will you rejoice that age has crowned your journey without
shame, That every trial endured has glorified His Name?
When twilight comes, no grief, no bitter past to mourn,
But joy that through your years, Christ’s witness has been
borne?
