As Esther drove to the Pastor’s office about 15 minutes away from her house, she put on the radio. This was something she rarely ever did. I mean, who really listens to the radio these days?
“Welcome back to the show ‘I Too am a Warrior’ on God’s Light 112.5 FM. Thank you for sticking with us through that commercial break. With me right here in the studio today, is still Miss Juliet, a 23-year-old student from Hagios University.
So Miss Juliet, tell us, what really happened that day.”
“I am a person of few words, so I will go straight to the point. As I entered his office that day, I felt some alarms go off in my spirit. I wondered what the Holy Spirit was trying to show or tell me, but I didn’t give Him much attention. I said to myself, ‘He is a man of God. What could possibly go wrong?’
“As he began to speak to me, some things he said were strange, like ‘My methods are unorthodox,’ ‘You have to trust that I know what I’m doing even if it seems strange,’ ‘The Lord would like your deliverance to be private, just between me and you’, etc. And he asked me to kneel so he could pray and speak blessings over me.
“Suddenly I felt him slide both his hands softly all the way down from the sides of my face, down my neck, to my shoulders and arms. When this happened the first time, I opened my eyes in surprise and he immediately removed his hands, folded them, and acted like he was deep in the spirit.”
“All these while praying in tongues?” the OAP asked.
“Yes! Deep tongues. This happened about 3 times and the last time, his hands got to my waist. Just as I thought I couldn’t stand it anymore, he told me that the Holy Spirit was asking me to take off my blouse.”
“What?!” The OAP interrupted.
“I was as shocked as you are now. And I was wearing just one blouse! It was then I understood why the Holy Spirit had been ringing the alarms. And just as I asked Him to forgive me for not listening to Him under my breath, a spirit of boldness came upon me. And that was when I got up fiercely, speaking in tongues louder than he was speaking. I rebuked the spirit of lust over him, picked up my bags, unlocked the door, and stormed out of his office. All the while, still praying in tongues loudly.
“That right there was how God saved me. I could have been…”
“You’ve arrived at your destination. You’ve arrived at your destination…” blared Esther’s Google map guide, bringing her radio session to an end as she hurried out after seeing she was 10 minutes behind schedule due to traffic.
All she heard on the radio was interesting but who would have known that that was God preparing her for something? Indeed, she met the preacher who was just like the one Juliet had talked about, and you sure can guess that she did the same thing.

God is faithful and speaks in many ways. But sometimes we are not listening. It doesn’t have to be a loud voice from the sky, or a shining man in white before we know that the Lord is sending us warnings prophetically. We must learn to pay attention to the little nudges of the Holy Spirit.
