In desolate fields, I wandered lost,
Seeking love in barren costs.
Was I abandoned by fate’s design?
Where was love’s gentle, guiding hand?
My heart cried out for love’s embrace,
Love that stands through the darkest space.
Have I finally chased You away?
Did your patience finally fade?
No, Your kindness endures, a constant friend,
Your love remains, till the journey’s end.
Far away I strayed, seeking fleeting love,
But Yours is an affection sent from above
In the desert’s isolation, I have found,
Your presence walked with me, forever profound.
Faithful, You stood through my lonely roam,
Awaiting my return to Your loving home.
Your love is wisdom’s source,
Seeking You, I find my course.
My Lord, my all, my heart’s desire,
Doing Your will is my soul’s fire.
