Awake Jerusalem and shake off your dust
The stains of worldly pride and diverse lust
Awake Holy City, arise and prepare the way
For your King is sure to return someday Make for Him in the wilderness a highway
Pay whatever price that you have to pay
You have dallied long enough in double-mindedness and guilt
Get up! Clean up! The Holy City must now be built
Drop your plans and pursue the King’s desires
All who taught you to do otherwise are thieves and liars
