He was badly frightened at the way he felt, but then he reassured himself, “Do not be afraid of God. This is what you have asked for.” He staggered into his bathroom and leaned on the basin for support while he got his breath. And suddenly out of his mouth came what he describes as “The equivalent of a large water glass full of heavy, clear fluid.”
INSTANT HEALING
When he raised his head, he took his first deep breath in four years. It felt too wonderful to even try to describe, he went into the yard, and walked up and down, without stopping—laughing and crying and thanking God all at the same time.
A TESTIMONY OF RESTORED STRENGTH
When Geneva got back from her sister’s that evening, she noticed that the pile of coal in the back yard was almost gone. Bruce had shoveled three of the four tons of coal. Bruce walked out into the living room, to greet his wife. She took one look at his face and knew what had happened. Together on their knees, they thanked God.
A COMPLETE MIRACLE
Two days later, Bruce Baker, who for more than four years had not been able to take five steps without inducing a severe coughing spell and without having to stop and gasp for breath, walked the entire two miles from his house to town.
Doctors can find nothing wrong with him, and attest to the fact that his lungs are perfect. He has gone into gardening work now, for a living, and among other things, he follows the power lawnmower up and down slopes, from eight o’clock in the morning until often after three o’clock in the afternoon. This is God!
The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health.
