Word: ‘Phobos to Kurios’
Acts 9:31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the lord.
Definition
Phobos: From a primary phebomai (to be put in fear); alarm or fright: – be afraid, + exceedingly, fear, terror.
Kurios: From kuros (supremacy); supreme in authority, that is, (as noun) controller; (…) God, Lord, master, Sir.
Together, they simply mean “The Fear of the Lord.”
The fear of the Lord isn’t just a feeling; it is obedience to His commands.
Psa 111:10 The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do His work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
Wisdom is the fear of the Lord (Job 8:28). One who ‘makes every effort’ to please the Lord is indeed wise and understanding, as the Apostle Paul depicts:
2 Cor 5:9-11 So we make it our goal to please Him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Wisdom instructs us to fear the Lord (Prov 15:33). Will you live wisely?
Ephesians 5:15-17 Be very careful, then, how you live–not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
