Strength Through Hope
How has she stayed strong in her faith through such trials? “Whatever persecution comes—even if I die—I will be alive with Christ in heaven,” she told our team. “That hope kept me strong.”
Forgiveness and Faith
Forgiving her husband was a process for Danmaya, and not an easy one. “In the beginning, I had a kind of bitterness in my heart [toward him],” she said. “But later, I came to know that unless I forgive him, I cannot go the right way to God. So I have forgiven.” Today, she prays for her former husband, and even for the woman he’s now married to, asking God to draw both to Himself. We asked Danmaya if there was a particular Scripture that gives her strength. She turned to Psalm 55:22— “Cast your burden on the LORD, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.”
