Abide in Christ, the Living Vine,
Where roots run deep in Love Divine;
The branch that clings shall never die,
It’s leaves made green beneath His sky.
The Gardener’s hands both prune and bless,
Removing all that brings no rest;
Through holy cuts, more life will flow,
And richer fruits will surely grow.
Apart from Him, all strength will fade,
Like withered wood in shadow laid;
But joined to Him, our works shall shine,
Sweet harvest born of Life’s design.
So keep the faith, through storm or drought,
Let praise be seed in heart and mouth;
For those who dwell in Christ’s embrace,
Will bear much fruit through boundless grace.
