I am the stopper of the soundness of many minds,
The one who reduces men of valour to stupor,
The one who makes men of faith to cover,
Even after demonstrating power and fire!

I have made flapping curtains into powerful ghosts,
And other powerless objects a terror to most;
In my presence past victories are only history
And promises of brighter days become only misery

When I am inspired by your co-creatures,
I become a snare extremely dark
When in the presence of the Only Creator
I am a consecrated spark!

I am the reverence that forms your days,
The very wisdom that shapes your ways!
I am the beacon that will give light to your feet,
Preparing you for the Day when you and Papa meet.

If you must hate evil and shun pride,
I am your best chance – It is not a lie;
For without the GRACE only I can give
You become a shame so undesired; a LAWless one!

So, get to know me in every way
Every form I bear and every stance I take
Your very heart already knows my name
For I am the only one known as FEAR
