Introduce my heart of stone to Your feet of polished bronze
As the final trumpets blow, let’s dance on the threshing floor
Can You find Your treasured gold hidden in this lump of dross?
With eyes like embers glowing, fueled by devouring love
There’s a lake flowing from Your throne
Take a deep breath, exhale my soul
I’ll swim and endure the strokes
For the sin and the wages owed
Yes, You have snatched my soul from the grip of darkness’ jaws
But this one thing I know: paradise is a paradox
Is euthanasia the antidote to the poison in death’s venom?
Must I sell everything I own just to afford a cross?
There’s a snake in the garden’s grove
And a cave on the path to the throne
You hid faith in the catacombs
And fate is buried in Your words
I can hear the angels call the damned underneath the crust:
“Free are they that were sold and chained to the form of dust
Rise, set your eyes above, behold your redeemer comes
Riding on the weight of groans, propelled by the shame He scorned”
There’s a slave that You used to know
But today You’re refined as gold
Now pay with all You’re worth
Give away your precious soul
