Like Jonah in the belly – three nights, but never reached the shore

Your little feet ran out of time before they learnt to walk
It’s so dark, we can feel it
The world buried its sight to see what you’ll become
It’s so dark, we can feel it
Treated as a parasite, the Lord of Host’s infected reward
It’s so dark, we can feel it
Your name was lost in a crime scene you didn’t plot
It’s so dark, we can feel it
Your tiny hands, too small to fight – fingers to war
It’s so dark, we can feel it
Your voice will be the sign of a noteless song
It’s so dark, we can feel it
Yes it was warm inside, but it’s a cold world
It’s so dark, we can feel it
Little wonder why you never saw the sun

The pending smile you aimed at her says it all.

You would have chosen her life over yours, if you had the choice
