Music Ministry as A Vehicle for Deliverance

In this episode, let us look at another critical dimension of music ministry: music as a tool for deliverance.

To help you think through today’s point properly, please pause!

Now, take a moment and visit Ita Udoh’s YouTube channel, search and listen to the song “We Are Willing”. There, you will find a clear and powerful example of how deliverances can come through music.

Done so? Now, let’s dive right in.

In the Scriptures, we see an example of this. In 1 Samuel 16, we’re told that an evil spirit would torment Saul, and David would play music. Whenever David played, the evil spirit would depart from Saul, and relief would come (1 Samuel 16:23). This is a clear biblical picture of how music can be a channel of deliverance. David’s music drove out the tormenting spirit from Saul. His music was not mere entertainment—it was anointed, Spirit-empowered ministry.

PRESENT-DAY MUSIC DELIVERANCE

This is true today and is something I have encountered many times in my own ministry too. Our church (God’s Lighthouse Church), have been deeply blessed to experience significant deliverances through the songs we’ve received; songs that did not just come from human creativity, but were birthed by the Spirit.

These songs have carried healing, freedom, and transformation to many lives, both those present in the meeting, and those who watched the videos or streamed the audios even days, months and years after the song was originally received! Songs like these carry such a strong anointing and we have come to see them as weapons given to us to fight spiritually.

Over time, we’ve seen many testimonies. People have experienced deliverance, not just in church meetings, but also in their homes, just by playing these songs. Just as ungodly music can release spirits of depression, immorality, and rage, etc., spiritual songs can bring healing, freedom, peace, and transformations.

We encourage you to soak in these songs. Let them play in your homes, in your cars, in your quiet time.

In addition to “We are Willing”, other spiritual songs are available on Ita Udoh’s Channel on YouTube, on AudioMack, Spotify, YouTube Music, and other platforms. Find them, listen to them, and let the presence of God reach you through them:

1. Our God

2. Burning and Changing

3. He Knows Your Name

4. The One Upon the Throne

5. We Look Upon You

6. Songs from Heaven

7. Waves of the Spirit

8. Shining Jesus

And more!
