“By the end of the day, 1,200 women were laughing at me. When my counselor found out I was claiming to hear the voice of God, she sent me to the facility psychiatrist. The psychiatrist thought I had lost my mind and wanted to put me on suicide watch! But six months later, I won the case in a federal court; they took seven years off my sentence and the exact date the Lord gave me came to pass. It was such a powerful miracle that it caused people in the prison to be awestruck by God, His goodness, and His power.”
A Call to Healing
“God allowed me to be part of many healing miracles in prison. When I got out, I was praying for it to continue; and, two years after I got out, God told me to go to Bethel Church pastored by Bill Johnson in Redding, California – I was going to receive an anointing to heal the sick.
“I was excited about this anointing because my mother was ill with a disease that was eating her bones, leaving her extremely crippled and in a great deal of pain. I felt this could be the breakthrough I was waiting for.”
Receiving the Anointing
“On my second day at Bethel Church, I was standing in front of the church and two housewives with kids hanging on their skirts came over and laid hands on me to receive this anointing. I had a sense of liquid pouring over me; the power of God was filling me up. I knew that I had received the Matthew 10 anointing that allows you to cast out demons and lay hands on the sick – God did just what He had said He was going to do.
“I knew God had given me something special. Suddenly, I had a switch that turned on a power generator inside me.”
Healing Power in Action
“As I prayed, heat and power flowed through my body and were released down my arms and out through my hands. I could not wait to get home to pray for my mother who had been in agony for twenty-five years from that terrible bone disease.
“I believed that Mom would be healed, but when I laid hands on her, I felt the power but nothing happened. Nothing happened for three days, although I kept praying. On the third day, I prayed for my father who had been scheduled for prostate surgery and he was instantly healed. So, I knew I had the power, but Mom had something that was blocking her healing from manifesting.”
Understanding the Order of Deliverance
“As I waited before God to understand this, the Lord explained Matthew 10:1 to me: ‘Notice the order in which Jesus gave this to His disciples. He gave anointing to drive out demons and then heal sickness.’ Casting out of demons is mentioned before laying hands on the sick. God showed me that, sometimes, before you can get rid of a sickness, you have to drive out the demon that is causing the problem.
“I started rebuking demons for my Mom. I rebuked every demon I could think of yet nothing happened…”
